MySkills 基金会

MySkills Foundation

In year 2011, Pasupathi Sithamparam, who is a lawyer, had initiated the MySkills Foundation. With its establishment of Primus Institute of Technology, the Indian youths are given an opportunity to be equipped with right skills, as well as to develop their self-potentials. MySkills Foundation is geared towards transforming At-Risk Youths, who came from dysfunctional or poor families background, who are engulfed with bad habits, school dropouts, and inadequate of academic exposure etc. It is through the dual strategy of vocational skills training and emotional intelligence cultivation, that the At-Risk Youths are able to regenerate their passion and confidence in life, and subsequently transform their lives to betterment.
As the At-Risk Youths are from poor family backgrounds, in order to allow them to focus in their studies, the institute benefits the students by offering low school fees, and even zero school fee, and provide them with accommodation. The primary medium of instruction in the institute is Tamil, Malay and English are used as secondary languages. It is through the mother tongue education, that the students are able to build up confidence in learning, as well as to acquire practical skills.
Despite the short history of the foundation establishment, the team has demonstrated a commendable spirit in the development of education, which corresponds the core value of the spirit of Tan Kah Kee.
